CAMRA has released their Good Beer Guide 2024 and 15 pubs in Wiltshire have been added to the list.
The Guide surveys 4,500 of the best pubs across the UK and claims to be the definitive beer drinker’s guide for those seeking the best pints in the nation’s pubs.
Now in its 51st edition, readers can find several new entries from across Wiltshire.
The county has seen 15 watering holes added to the guide for the first time which includes The Bath Arms on Market Place in Warminster.
Corsham is also represented by the Flemish Weaver which can be found on the High Street while Nunton’s Randor Arms also makes an appearance.
Trowbridge’s The King’s Arms has been added for 2024 with interested ale seekers being able to locate the popular pub on Castle Street.
Despite having a plethora of pubs across town, Swindon has only one new entry this year with Fleet Square’s Drink Valley.
The relatively new ‘brewpub’ features alongside five favourite Swindon haunts in the guide but all of them have previously appeared in the book.
Just outside of the town, you will also find the much-talked-about New Calley Arms of Ham Road in Wanborough which is a local favourite.
Devizes also features on the list with its aptly named Snuffbox which can be found on Snuff Street while Hamptworth’s Cuckoo Inn is also mentioned.
Melksham manages to make an appearance in the new selection with the Market Tavern on Market Place being praised.
Pewsey’s Coopers Arms of Ball Road and Odstock’s Yew Tree Inn are both newcomers to the prestigious book.
Also featured are Broad Town’s Hop Chapel on Broad Town Road and Farley’s Hook & Glove on The Street.
Upper Woodford’s Bridge Inn as well as Little Somerford’s Somerford Arms on The Hill round off the new Wiltshire list.
The Good Beer Guide helps beer lovers take a barometer of the local beer scene and contains 910 newly featured pubs from across the country this year.
CAMRA Chairman Nik Antona said: “The last few years have been an incredibly difficult time for the industry, and we need more support than ever before to keep our nation’s pubs and breweries open and thriving.
“I’d encourage everyone to use this year’s Guide to visit the very best pubs and breweries across the UK and support them for generations to come.”
