A police helicopter was deployed in Wiltshire after a reports of a man carrying a weapon.
Police have arrested a man in his 40s after being called to a field near Woolley Grange Farm at around 9,30pm on Wednesday (September 13).
A police helicopter and a dog unit supported specialist officers that attended the scene.
The man who was found walking near the farm was later arrested at The George pub on Woolley Street, on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
The suspect remains in custody for questioning.
Wiltshire Police have not confirmed what type of weapon the man was carrying, but police have warned residents of the area that they may see an increased police presence today.
Officers are continuing to carry out searches in the Bradford on Avon area for any discarded weapons.
They have confirmed that this is only a precautionary measure.
