A suspected drink driver was stopped by an unmarked police car for “drawing attention to himself.”

Road Policing Units were conducting patrols of Trowbridge in an unmarked vehicle on the night of Tuesday, July 25, when the driver of a Mitsubishi Shogun attracted their attention.

Officers stopped the motorist and found him to be over the drink drive limit after a roadside breathalyser test.

Checks also confirmed that he was already banned from the roads and had no insurance to be driving the vehicle.
