A man has been charged after members of the public were pulled over in Wiltshire by someone allegedly pretending to be a police officer.
Chris Green, 31, of Nursery Close, Peterborough, will appear in court on Tuesday morning.
Wiltshire Police arrested a man on the M4 on Saturday, May 6.
It followed an incident in Corsham earlier that day where it is alleged that he attempted to stop a member of the public.
Wiltshire Police said that the wannabe officer was pulling people over, while driving a blue Ford Fiesta equipped with a flashing blue light.
In a statement on Twitter, Wiltshire Police Specialist Operations said: “Road Policing Units have one male arrested for impersonating police after we received reports of this fiesta pulling people over around Wiltshire."
