A coroner has recorded verdict that a Westbury man died from toxicity caused by drug and alcohol.
Kane Hoskins, 34, was found dead in July last year at a flat in Westbury where he lived.
Senior coroner David Ridley said Mr Hoskins died of heroin/morphine and alcohol toxicity.
Mr Hoskins was found dead on July 14 2022, the inquest in Salisbury was told on April 28.
The coroner originally opened an inquest into his death on July 28 last year and adjourned it to a date to be fixed.
When the inquest reopened, the court was told that Mr Hoskins had 100mg/ml blood free morphine, and 298mg of alcohol per dl of blood in his system, equivalent to consuming up to 14 drinks.
Recording his narrative verdict, Mr Ridley said: “Kane was confirmed dead in the living room at Flat 1, Sycamore House, Sycamore Grove, Westbury, in Wiltshire at 5.56pm on July 14, 2022.
“He became unresponsive following injecting himself with heroin having been drinking alcohol earlier.
“Kane died from heroin/morphine toxicity (100mg/ml blood free morphine) against a background of alcohol toxicity (298mg/dl blood).”
