EUROPEAN team gold medallists Daisy Dick and Oliver Townend are among the 900 runners entered in this weekend's Longleat international horse trials.
The two riders, together with Kristina Cook, are reserves for the GB Olympic team this year. International riders Andrew Nicholson and Dan Jocelyn (New Zealand) plus Matt Ryan and Paul Tapner (Australia) are on a similar route, and double European gold medallist and young rider Laura Collett, together with up and coming young local riders Charlotte Keevil, Harry Meade, Louisa Brassey and Kitty Boggis are just some of the key competitors expected.
The event will run from June 13 - June 15. There will be dressage, show jumping and cross country on all three days with some of the Olympic team hopefuls competing on their young horses at novice and intermediate level.
The climax to the event is the international intermediate class on Sunday over a testing cross-country course designed by international designer Eric Winter.
