A hotel on the Wiltshire border has been named the most popular in the UK to go to for a winter/romantic getaway according to the number of TikTok views it has accumulated.
The radiator manufacturer Stelrad found Babington House in Frome to be the 11th most popular having received 252,700 views on TikTok.
Stelrad had sought to find out what the most popular winter hotel was as Google searches for a ‘weekend getaway’ climbed by 159% in the UK in the last month.
Firstly, they conducted an analysis referring to The Guardian, Hello Magazine, CN Traveller and Red Online to collate a unique seed list of 65 known hotels for a winter getaway.
To determine how popular a hotel is, they utilised TikTok views, having searched for the name of the location only.
Chewton Glen in Hampshire was the most popular by far, having accumulated 200 million views on TikTok in the time span.
What does Babington House have to offer?
Babington House is a club and hotel that has also been well-received on Tripadvisor, having earnt a score of 4.5/5 from 604 reviews.
On its own website it states: "Built in 1705, Babington House is a Grade II-listed manor set in 18 acres of English countryside in the heart of Somerset, 30 minutes from Bath."
The hotel has many features, including indoor and outdoor swimming in two separate pools.
Meanwhile, the surrounding grounds cover 18 acres of British countryside, along with a lake, a cricket pitch and some tennis courts.
Guests can also enjoy the cowshed spa, where you can have treatments like the CBD massage, Cowshed Signature Facial and Cryotherapy.
The hotel also has its own walled garden, and produce from that is used on its food menu.
