A golf tournament with a major twist is taking place at a top Wiltshire venue.
The Bowood Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort, which sits in the iconic Bowood Estate near Calne, is partnering with The Night Golf Company to host a golf tournament in the dark.
Members and guests will play from 6.30pm onwards, on Thursday, February 23, using battery powered golf balls that illuminate in the dark.
The PGA course will also install temporary LED lights to guide competitors around the five-hole event.
White lights will signpost the fairway, green lights will signify the greens and blue lights will warn teams about hazards such as water and bunkers.
Bowood say the winning team will be awarded with an unspecified prize.
Jeff Condliffe, general manager at Bowood Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort, said: “We’re excited to be hosting this challenging but fun competition at Bowood.
“It’s something different and brings a whole new dimension to the game of golf, giving the opportunity for more people and possibly the younger generation to enjoy and explore the game.”
Teams can enter for £35 per person and will receive a meal at the Club House Bar as well as a place in the tournament.
