ROAD CLOSURES

Wiltshire Council intends to close temporarily to all traffic:

C70 (Part), Purton: From outside property known as No.04 Common Platt, Purton for a distance of approximately 60m in a northerly direction to enable Thames Water to carry out connection of new customer service and associated works.

Alternative route via C70 (unaffected length) - B4553 - The Buffer - Common Platt and vice versa.

This order will come into operation on February 28 and the closure will be required for four days. 

Astley Close, Pewsey: From its junction with Hollybush Lane for its entire length to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated maintenance works. 

No alternative route is available. 

This order will come into operation on March 3 and the closure will be required between the hours of 9am and 4pm until March 9.

A342 High Street (Part), Rowde: From its junction with Bunnies Lane to outside property known as Tower Hill, Rowde to enable Wessex Water to carry out the replacement of a defective manhole cover and associated works.

Alternative route via A342 (unaffected length) - A3102 - C502 - C382 - A365 - C242 - C255 - A342 (unaffected length) and vice versa.

This order will come into operation on March 2 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 23:59 for two nights. 

B4553 (Part), Purton: From its junction with The Fox to its junction with C70 to enable Openreach to carry out pole test.

Alternative route via B4553 (unaffected length) - B4534 - B4006 - A3102 - B4042 - B4649 - B4040 - B4553 (unaffected length) and vice versa.

This order will come into operation on March 1 and the closure will be required between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm for one day.

C71 (Part), North Wraxall: From its junction with Doncombe Hill for a distance of approximately 125m in a north easterly direction to enable Openreach to carry out remedial works to failed reinstatement and associated works.

Alternative route via C71 (unaffected length) - C151 - A420 - C71 (unaffected length) and vice versa.

This order will come into operation on February 6 and the closure will be required for five days.

Bath Road Service Station on Bath Road in Chippenham, has applied for a variation of their premises licence to extend and refurbish the premises.
