FOUR rural businesses from Wiltshire have been shortlisted for prestigious Countryside Alliance Awards, after thousands of nominations from across the country were whittled down to a final few.
Kingsman Traditional Butchers in Amesbury has been shortlisted for an award in the ‘Best Regional Butcher’ category, while the Burton Farm Shop and Kitchen in Burton has been shortlisted for the ‘Best Regional Local Food/ Drink’ award.
Two pubs, the Grosvenor Arms in Hindon and the West Dean Club in Salisbury, have been shortlisted for an award in the ‘Best Regional Pub’ category.
The four businesses are among 25 businesses from around the South West to make it to the finals across five categories.
Winners will be chosen via a public vote and the victors will go on to represent the region in the House of Lords at the national champions reception on Wednesday, May 17.
Countryside Alliance Awards Director Sarah Lee said: “Our local produce is second to none and there are many community heroes and businesses worthy of national recognition. We encourage as many people as possible to get voting today.”
To vote, go to the Countryside Alliance website, here. You can vote for one business in all of the categories, or for just one individual business in their respective category.
