Here are some of the public notices that have been posted in Wiltshire this week: 

Public open spaces

Wiltshire Council intends to dispose of land that is deemed to be Public Open Space and known as land at Miller Close, Chirton, Devizes.

A plan showing the area of land to which Wiltshire Council intend to dispose is available for inspection on request during normal working hours at Wiltshire Council’s offices at County Hall, Trowbridge.

Any objections to the intended disposal should be made in writing to the Solicitor to the Council Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge, Wiltshire BA14 8JN by no later than 12 noon on November 10.

Road closures
Wiltshire Council intends to close temporarily to all traffic: Hill Corner Road (Part), Chippenham; from its junction with B4158 to its junction with Greenway Lane to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out footway resurfacing, kerb replacements and ironwork adjustments. Alternative route via Greenway Lane – B4158 and vice versa. 

It will come into operation on November 21 and the closure will be required between the hours of 7:30 and 6pm until December 5. 

Old Road (Part), Calne Without; from its junction with A4 to outside its property known as No.63 Old Road to enable Gigaclear Limited to locate and resolve blockages and associated works.

Alternative route via Old Road (unaffected length) – A4 and vice versa. This order will come into operation on November 2 and the closure will be required for one day. 

Footway off Southmead (Part), Chippenham; from outside property No.142 Southmead to outside property No.148 Southmead to enable Wessex Water to carry out installation of meter in footway.

Alternative route via Southmead – Footway off Southmead (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on October 31 and the closure will be required for three days. 

C71 (Part), North Wraxall; from its junction with A420 to its junction with C174 to enable Openreach to carry out cable renewal on overhead network and associated works.

Alternative route via A420 – C174 and vice versa. This Order which previously came into operation on July 11 will now recommence on October 31 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 3:30pm for two days.
