Road closures

Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: Church Street, Steeple Ashton; from its junctions with C19 to outside its property known as Manor Cottage to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. No alternative route is available. This will come into operation on October 24 and the closure will be required between the hours of 9am and 4pm for four days.

Dane Rise (Part), Winsley; from its junction with C391 to its junction with King Alfred Road to enable Gigaclear Limited to carry out excavation works and associated works. Alternative route via C391 - B3108 - Dane Rise (unaffected length) and vice versa. This will be from October 24-28.

A350 (Part), Upton Scudamore; from a distance of approximately 360m south of its junction with C235 to a point 280m south of its junction with Westbury Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route via A350 (unaffected length) - A36 - A361 -C234 - C227 - A363 - A350 (unaffected length). This will be on October 3, between 7pm and 7am, for 10 weeknights.  

Westwells Road (Part), Corsham and Box; from its roundabout junction with Park Lane to its roundabout junction with Spring Park to enable access and egree at MOD Corsham. Alternative route via Park Lane - A4 - B3353 - C36 - Westwells Road (unaffected length) and vice versa. This will come into operation on October 4 and the closure will be required between the hours of 9.15 and 2.30pm for one day.

Slag Lane (Part), Westbury; from its junction with Frogmore Road to its junction with Hawkeridge Road to enable Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to carry out bridge examination and associated works. Alternative route via Slag Lane (unaffected length) - B3097 - Hawkeridge Road and vice versa. From October 3 for three nights between 10pm and 6am. 

The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.

New speed limit

Wiltshire Council wants to introduce a 30mph speed limit on Wellhead Drove, Westbury - from its junction with A350 for a distance of 289 metres in an easterly direction. For more information go to www.wiltshire.gov.uk/troconsultations. 

Public open spaces 

Wiltshire Council intends to dispose by way of leases the following part of its land holdings within Corsham Wiltshire under the Community Asset Transfer Scheme to Corsham District Council which includes land which is used for open space, recreation and amenity purposes: Katherine B Play Area, Freestone Way; Bences Lane Play Area, Bences Lane; Pockeridge A Playground, Pockeridge Road; Pockeridge B Play Area, Pockeridge Road. 
Plans showing the open spaces being transferred are available for inspection on request during normal working hours at Wiltshire Council's offices at County Hall Trowbridge. Objections to the intended disposal must be made in writing by October 21.
