Bromham Reserves remain on course for a top two finish after beating visitors Bradford United Reserves 3-0.
Bromham made the brighter start and had much the better of the opening 20 minutes as they played with the wind behind them and kicking downhill.
The first goal came after 28 minutes when Bromham were awarded a penalty and Jack Fisher gave Bradford goalkeeper Dan Fry no chance from the spot.
Bradford had a few chances to equalise before the break but couldn't take any of them.
The second period started with ill-discipline from both sides which saw Ben Dowson (Bromham) and Simon Pickett (Bradford) pick up yellow cards.
After 76 minutes it got worse for Bradford as they were reduced to 10 men as Tom Godfrey was sent off for violent conduct.
Bromham took the opportunity to increase the pressure on their visitors and with eight minutes left made it 2-0 through substitute Sam Paget. Not to be outdone in the last minute another Bromham sub completed the score-line, Neil Fletcher scoring.
Great Western 7, Seend United Reserves 1
GREAT Western remain top of the pile after beating Seend United Reserves 7-1.
A Stuart Tutty hat-trick and a single from Russell Gibbings had the match sealed by half-time.
The second period saw Great Western ease off the gas and score only three goals through Dan Young and a brace from Dave Wolfe.
Mere Town Youth 1, Trowbridge Wanderers 5
MERE Town Youth hosted Trowbridge Wanderers on the back of a fantastic 2-2 draw against Great Western on the same weekend that Wanderers failed to beat FC Chippenham Town Youth.
However, it was Wanderers who went back home with the three points having put five goals past the hosts.
Mark Reynolds began the scoring after a superb one-man show saw him weave through five players before being dragged down in the box. Reynolds stepped up and converted the penalty.
James Harman then gave the Trowbridge side a two goal advantage after a corner from Paul Reynolds found Harman on the edge of the box and he smashed home a volley with a superb attempt.
Wanderers defended well and snubbed out every attempt, leaving Mere frustrated, and Newble the Wanderers goalkeeper largely a spectator.
After the half-time interval Mere came out strongly but it was the wizardry of Mark Reynolds that stole the show after he carved out his second and the visitors' third goal.
Jamie Moth then ended his goal drought after heading in at the near post from a Mark Reynolds corner.
Mere came back to score a consolation goal after what seemed a poor tackle, the resulting cross being pinged into the box for Channing Rendell to make it 4-1, leaving Liam Newble stranded.
Robbie Jacques responded after coming on for Nigel Penelhum, to score his second goal of the season after beating the offside trap to round the keeper to make the score 5-1.
Steve Morris had an opportunity to get a sixth goal for the away team, but true to form and still searching for a shot to hit the back of the net, manage to miss yet another two glorious opportunities.
Mere came back strongly and never gave up and had an opportunity after Ben Strong hit a volley, which ricocheted off the post, only for Newble to gather the loose ball.
This was a fine victory for the visitors with a man of the match performance from Mark Reynolds who saw off Mere's last league game of the season leaving them on 16 points, while Wanderers travel to Bromham Reserves and Great Western looking to snatch a top three position.
