A former Barclays Bank branch could be transformed into a new Papa John’s pizzaria if the new plans go through.
The company want to change the ground floor and basement of the former bank in 32 Market Place in Warminster, which is a Grade II listed building.
The idea would be to make essential alterations by doing things like removing and installing a new kitchen and some partition walls.
A separate applicationhas also been submitted for new signage.
Some of the alterations already proposed also include keeping the timer doors and windows that are already there, but redecorating them, and installing a brand new glazed internal door instead of keeping the existing security door there.
The internal changes on the ground floor would mean creating a customer reception area and sales counter, which is where a new partition wall would be.
A new kitchen area has been proposed, including preparation areas, dispatch areas, baking ovens, a wash area and cold and dry storage areas.
There would also be a small office space created and toilets for staff and management.
But no changes have been proposed at the basement level.
If the plans are approved, the takeaway would be open from 11am-11pm every day.
