A TV presenter and celebrity vet who has been on CBBC and This Morning is set to help the dogs of Wiltshire by supporting a local charity with an upcoming event.
The challenge invites dog walkers and animal lovers to take part on September 4 even if they do not have a dog to bring along.
Dr James Greenwood said: “My faithful Labrador, Dolly and I are delighted to be joining dogs and walkers at the Wag Walk event to support Bath Cats and Dogs Home.
“I have experienced the incredible animal welfare work that the Home does to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome rescue cats and dogs, so I’m looking forward to grabbing my trainers and getting out into the beautiful Bath countryside to help them with their fundraising mission.
“Please join me on the walk as all proceeds raised will help support rescue pets who desperately need our help.”
Starting from the rescue centre in Claverton, Bath the walking routes feature beautiful countryside with a choice of a two-mile flat route or a five-mile walk along the National Trust Bath Skyline with more challenging terrain.
Dogs also get a ‘Wag Walk’ doggie bandana to wear as a memento of the day.
