Grammy award-winning global megastar Michael Bublé is not far from Wiltshire this weekend as he is set to perform at the iconic Royal Crescent.
The shows will take place at the World Heritage site in Bath on Friday 15 and Saturday July 16.
The summer open-air concerts, will kick off his highly-anticipated 2022 ‘An Evening with Michael Bublé’ UK tour.
The big gig in Bath had to be postponed twice- making the performances ones to remember for his fans in the city and surrounding areas.
This is reportedly the first time live music has taken place at The Royal Crescent since 2003, when The Three Tenors performed to mark the completion of Bath’s Millennium Project and the opening of the Thermae Bath Spa.
Doors are opening tonight and tomorrow from 5 pm with the concert taking place from 8pm to 10pm.
According to Visit Bath, regular bus timetables will be in operation on the day of this event, and all Park & Ride services will conclude at their usual time, with no special shuttle services in place.
People can use the TravelWest journey planner to help find different routes to your destination.
There will be no vehicle access at all to any part of Royal Avenue on Friday July 15 and Saturday July 16.
Throughout the week, security guards have been monitoring the site day and night as the stage has been set up.
Access has now been restricted around the Royal Crescent- with pedestrians unable to enter the green space on Royal Victoria Park as it has been fenced off especially for the performance.
The park is due to reopen on Friday July 22 according to signposts around the area.
Spokeswoman for the show, Karen McNamara has said: “Grammy-award winning global megastar Michael Bublé is heading to the UK this summer with a tour unlike any he’s done before.
Richard Hall, who first proposed the concert and is a director of local business group Bath Percent Club, said: “As a World Heritage City, Bath offers a spectacular setting for world class performance.
“We hope that the added benefit of this event will be to open up more music opportunities for local children as well as to develop new commercial opportunities for local businesses.”
Promoter Ollie Rosenblatt, MD of Senbla said, “I’m so delighted to be bringing Michael Bublé to the iconic, unique and stunning Bath Royal Crescent.
“There really is nowhere like it in the country. It’s the most magnificent backdrop for this spectacular artist and concert.”
