Coffee lovers in Devizes will soon be able to enjoy a brand new coffee shop that will be a permanent fixture in the streets of the town.

Black Dog Coffee Co. started as a home baking business in lockdown by Mark and Karen Johnson and will soon be taking form as a physical place where customers can enjoy a bite to eat and a cup of coffee in the town’s Wharfside.

Initially, the backbone of their business has been built from their Facebook page where they have accumulated a following of 692 people.

There are also dozens of reviews, and the business boasts a rating of five stars on the page.

One reviewer said: ‘After sending just two photos for an idea of what I’d like, they were able to pull off the perfect cake."

Mark explained that he is also a trained barista and is looking forward to putting his hospitality skills to good use.

The plan is for the Black Dog Coffee Co. to open later this month but Mark has said he needs to make sure everything is set up properly beforehand.

“It’s a bit like a building site at the moment but we’ll get there”.

“We’ve been wanting to get set up like this in Devizes for a while so when we got the opportunity we jumped at it”.
