A motorcyclist has died following a collision on the A350 near Melksham, which shut the road for 10 hours last night.
The man in his 40s died at the scene. Nobody else was injured.
A police spokeswoman said: “We were called to the section of Western Way between Farmers Roundabout and Semington Roundabout at around 4.30pm yesterday (Wednesday, March 9).
"The collision involved a motorcyclist, a white van and a silver Nissan Juke.
“Sadly, the motorcyclist, a man in his 40s, died at the scene. Nobody else was injured.
"His family have been informed and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.”
A section of the road was closed for about 10 hours to allow the collision investigators to examine the scene, police say.
Officers are appealing for anyone with information, including anyone with dash cam footage, which could assist enquiries, to contact the serious collision investigation unit directly on 01225 694597 and quote log number 199 of 09/03.
