Finding a home can be a concern for many as the cost of living rises.

Uswitch.com estimates the cost of living in Wiltshire is already relatively high when compared to the rest of the UK, with a household's weekly grocery shop coming to £60 and petrol prices above average at 118p.

The average property price in Wiltshire is about £320,000, so it is not always considered to be budget-friendly.

We looked at the market to see what you could buy, even on the smallest budget to live in the historic county.

One property that stood out to us was nestled near Chippenham and is currently on the market for £89,995 - but there is a catch.

Like many cheaper homes on the market, you have to be over 50 - which is little consolation for first-time buyers.

Wiltshire Times:

The two-bedroom ‘mobile home’ is in Bungalow Caravan Park, Bradenstoke, just a half an hour drive from Chippenham’s town centre.

Advertised by Alan Hawkins Estate Agents, the twin park home in the North Wiltshire village is set on the fringe of the residential development for the over 50's.

The home comes with a renovated kitchen, two bedrooms, a shower room, and a large lounge/diner with a wide picture window and sliding patio doors leading to a decked verandah overlooking the lovely Wiltshire countryside.

Wiltshire Times:

It is described as occupying a ‘fairly generous plot’, and also benefits from a modern boiler, radiators uPVC double glazing and parking. The residential site is also pet-friendly and caters to those wanting to slow down as they get a little older.

Bungalow Caravan Park in Bradenstoke is a retirement park home estate that caters "exclusively for the semi-retired and retired" according to RS Hill & Sons who own the site.

Wiltshire Times:

The park is described as providing a "relaxed and a relaxed and pleasant environment."

But it is also explained on their website: "It is still part of a small village community."

Local transport is available just outside the park and the village benefits from a local pub, church and postoOffice.

"Bungalow Park provides the very best of both worlds… nestled amongst clusters of small villages, yet close enough to the major town of Swindon and historical market town of Chippenham. The world-renowned cities of Bath and Oxford are also easily accessed offering the very best in shopping, culture and heritage," the listing says.
