TALENTED performing arts students from Stagecoach Trowbridge and Frome are set to hit the stage with show-stopping live performances of “Sister Act Jr.”, at the Wharf Theatre in Devizes on Friday and Saturday (February 25 and 26).
For some of the students, it will be the final performance before they graduate to pursue singing, acting and dancing careers at some of the UK’s finest theatre schools.
Further stages students aged 15-18 years old have been rehearsing for months in what promises to be a spectacular show and their first time performing in front of a live theatre audience in two years.
For some of the students, this is their final show with Stagecoach, where they have honed their singing, dancing and acting skills from a young age, and built life-long creative courage, before they move on to pursue a career in the performing arts.
Stagecoach Trowbridge and Frome principal Freddie Underwood said: “Many of our students are carving out professional careers for themselves in the acting industry and have been offered places at the top UK drama schools; future stars in the making!
“After missing out on so many performances for two years, the students cannot wait to get back on stage to showcase their talents and give audiences the best night out,” she said.
The feel-good event is based on the Tony award-winning musical and world-renowned 1992 hit film ”Sister Act”, filled with gospel music, dancing and a heart-warming story told by the youngsters.
