Bumble, the missing Border Terrier, is back safe and well in the arms of her family.
The Davidson family from Rowde made a desperate appeal for sightings of their beloved family pet who had been missing for six days since being lost in a badger sett.
Six-year-old Bumble disappeared down an entrance to the ‘very large’ sett at Rowde last Thursday (February 10) while owner Annie Davidson was out walking with her 18-month-old son.
An “extremely delighted” Mrs Davidson said: “Bumble has just emerged from a hole. She’s fine, very thin and shakey, but she’s out!
“She came out of her own accord. She is very thin, so probably slimmed down enough. She was found in the exact location where we’d lost her.
“The teachers from Silverwood School were passing with a group of students on a nature hunt and they found her drinking from a puddle and called me.
“We’re extremely delighted. She’s now at home warming up by the Aga.”
Mrs Davidson lost Bumble after her son darted off and she went to chase after him during a walk in fields at Rowde.
Bumble disappeared into the “very large” badger sett, which measures about 30 metres long and about ten metres wide and has several entrances and exits.
The family and friends spent several days and nights searching for Bumble, who is now receiving lots of love and affection from Mrs Davidson and her three children aged one, three and five.
