Blossoming chef, Liam Newble, has made it onto the screens alongside his fellow team members.
The 39-year-old appeared on Wiltshire Farm Foods' latest TV advert, which showcased a number of staff members from the business singing and dancing in a musical style spectacular.
He has stayed loyal to the branch for a long time, as he started cooking up a storm in their kitchens 20 years ago.
Liam was starstruck by the opportunity, stating: “I couldn’t believe how many takes were needed for one shot and just how many people were involved behind the scenes.
“It certainly makes a change from the day job. Hollywood – I’m coming for you.”
A spokesperson for the business said the decision was ‘unconventional’, as they allowed staff to audition for various roles, rather than hiring professional actors to do the job.
Alongside Liam were his fellow chefs from the farm Matt Peters and Jethro Lawrence when the advert first aired on January 1.
Louise Hall, 42, has also been at the company for six years, managing the Trowbridge branch and was delighted to be involved in the process:
“I really enjoyed strutting my stuff through the office whilst singing for the ad. It was such a treat to have my hair and make-up done; my team won’t recognize me!”
Wiltshire Farm Foods has chosen to feature Morecambe and Wise’s ‘Bring Me Sunshine’ song as the soundtrack to the advert. The classic will resonate with many as a time when this iconic duo dominated our screens, bringing much joy and laughter.
Liam and Lou are two of the advert’s stars, with Liam featuring in the opening shot singing the first line of the song, whilst cooking in the kitchen and Lou dancing through the office whilst singing with a clipboard.
Wanting to bring some much-needed cheer to customers, especially during the pandemic where many have had to self-isolate, Liam is hopeful the advert will put a smile on many of their faces:
“The last 18 months or so have been a real challenge for our customers so we’ve been busy in the kitchens creating heartwarming dishes to lift their spirits.
“We hope this advert will do the same and have them whistling along, bringing in some cheer to the New Year.”
The new advert was released on 1 January this year. You can watch the full video on Wiltshire Farm Foods' website.
