OVER five tonnes of litter has been picked up by Wiltshire Council.
As the council continues to clean up major routes around the county it has picked up around 5.5 tonnes of waste.
This is the equivalent to 417 black bin bags full of litter.
On social media, the local authority said: “Please play your part in protecting our beautiful countryside and wildlife by taking your waste home with you.”
Our most recent major route litter pick saw the crew working on the A350, A4 and A420.

In total, 152 bags were collected, which is approx 2 tonnes of waste.

The routes the litter was picked up on includes the A429, A3102, A420, B4042, A350 and A4.
