VISITORS to Trowbridge Museum will come face-to-face with 1,000 years of history over the October half-term holiday.
The museum has brought in two re-enactors to recreate famous characters from England’s history and take visitors back in time.
They are James Smith as King Arthur and Mike Farley as King Henry V111.
The event is part of the Trowbridge Heritage Festival taking place until Sunday October 31.
Museum manager Hannah Lyddy said: "We just wanted to create a bit of atmosphere and buzz. The children loved to interact with them."
Sadly, Museum staff have been forced to postpone a conference that was also due to take place during the festival.
Featuring talks about Trowbridge Martyr Thomas Helliker; Sir Isaac Pitman; the Road House Murder at Rode; Jack Northeast of Yerbury Street, who took part in the first TransAtlantic balloon trip; Bowyers and Henry de Bohun, it will now take place next year.
