CHIPPENHAM MP Michelle Donelan is to stage a third event for the Over 60s in Corsham.

The Over 60s Information and Advice Fair will be held in the Brunel Hall of the Springfield Community Campus in Corsham from 10am-2pm on Friday, November 12

She said: "I am delighted to announce that I will be hosting my third over 60s Advice and Information Fair in Corsham this November.

"This event follows my previous ones in Chippenham and Melksham which bought together the local community and raised awareness of all the fantastic work local and national organisations do to combat loneliness.

"I am looking forward to seeing as many residents of Corsham and the surrounding area as I can at this event.”

During her time in the House of Commons Miss Donelan says she has always been a strong voice for residents who are retired or approaching retirement.

She has spoken to many clubs about the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and while some have bounced back, others have struggled with membership and attendance, so this event is the perfect opportunity for them.

Miss Donelan said: "I also want to use this event to assist those who might have experienced loneliness during the lockdowns and give people the confidence to return to social functions and get involved."

Organisations attending the event include Age UK, Wiltshire Sight, Wiltshire Wildlife Trust and many more including local groups, societies and charities. It also includes taster performances from the Golden-Oldies.
