TROWBRIDGE Museum is to stage its first Heritage Festival since reopening in May this year after a £2.5 million redevelopment project.
The Festival will open on Thursday, October 21, kicking off 11 days of activities and events including a Horrible Histories-style lecture, cinema, crafts, re-enactors and memory days.
The Festival will end with a two-day history conference, packed full of interesting talks on a variety of topics concerning Trowbridge’s heritage.
Museum spokeswoman Tessa Kerslake said: "Many of the events are free to take part in and are perfect for a family audience.
"Others however, such as a talk on the Road Hill House murder or our evening cinema showing of the movie Peterloo, cover topics that are more suitable for an older audience."
Most activity will take place in the new Learning Hub located on the museum’s new upper floor.
In addition to the Festival, the museum will host its usual array of family activities, including its popular mouse hunt.
