A WILTSHIRE independent financial planner has been shortlisted for a 'Rising Star of the Year' award.

Daniel Wiltshire, of Wiltshire Wealth in Silver Street, Bradford on Avon, is one of the finalists in the Money Marketing Awards.

He said: "I’m particularly pleased given how difficult the past 18 months have been.

"It’s a huge compliment just to be considered for the award, as the competition is very tough."

A spokesman for the awards said: "The judges have been overwhelmed by the quality and care all those shortlisted have made in their submissions.

"The past 18 months have tested the advice profession like no other and the sector has risen to the occasion.

"The competition has been fierce and reveals that established firms with big brand recognition cannot rest on their laurels. New entrants are snapping at their feet."

The winners of the awards will be announced on Wednesday, September 29 at a drinks reception at The Happenstance, Paternoster Square, London.
