RESIDENTS in Warminster living near the town’s Lyons Seafood factory have complained about the smell and noise.
They took to local social media to vent their frustration with the company, which is the UK’s leading supplier of freshly cooked prawns, shellfish and other seafoods.
The residents have complained about the smell from production processes and say noise from the company’s factory in Fairfield Road, Warminster, is 24/7.
Jacqui Pringle said: “The smell has always been awful and seeps into nearby houses.”
Alex Millar added: “The smell has been really bad lately.”
But Lee Brimblecombe said: “I live opposite Lyons Seafood and I don’t here any noise coming from there. I don’t smell any bad smells from it either.”
Some residents have suggested reporting the issue to Wiltshire Council’s environmental health team.
The Wiltshire Times has approached Lyons Seafood. The company declined to comment.
