A NEW generation of the Wadworth family has entered the business after the founder's great great grand nephew joined the company on work experience.
Henry Wadworth-Watts, a 21-year-old engineering student from Queenstown, New Zealand, knew little of his brewing forebears until five years ago.
He said: "It has been a revelation. We don't have beer like this in New Zealand. It is just wonderful.
"It is my first time in the UK and it is very different. The weather is a lot worse to begin with, but I expect that will change when the spring comes."
Mr Wadworth-Watts said: "My mother and grandfather have always had communication with the brewery as part of the family, but it was only when I was planning to do an engineering degree that they suggested I get in touch.
"The brewery is a terrific place. I love it." Mr Wadworth-Watts is studying for a chemical and process engineering degree at Canterbury University, near Christchurch, New Zealand.
He said: "Working in a brewery will be right up my street."
Mr Wadworth-Watts was one of the special guests at the grand opening of the brewery's visitor centre in Devizes.
