A DEVELOPER has submitted plans for four houses in Whitley.
Ashford Homes has put in an outline bid to build four houses on agricultural land at First Lane, Whitley.
The developer had previously put in a planning bid for nine houses on the land but have since revised the idea after reviewing comments.

“We believe that the revised proposals respond to the principal concerns raised during the previous application, not least by the addition of a flood storage pond which will provide additional flood storage capacity for the rest of the village during extreme storm events,” a spokesman for Ashford Homes said.
“Together with the reduction of the number of homes, we believe this scheme will have far less impact on the local surroundings and provide lasting betterment to the village by helping to relieve existing flooding issues along First Lane.”
As the development is so small there is no requirement for Ashford homes to include affordable housing in the planned development.
