SOUTH East Wiltshire magistrates in Salisbury have adjourned the case against a Trowbridge teenager who appeared by live link from HMP Bullingdon prison in Oxfordshire.
Ibrahim El-Khalil Chafik, 19, who formerly lived in Cheviot Close, Trowbridge, appeared in court by video link yesterday (Thursday, July 29) charged with five motoring offences following an incident on December 20 last year.
He is charged with failing to stop his blue VW Golf for a police officer on an unclassified country lane between Edington and Steeple Ashton.
He is also charged with driving the vehicle with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the specified limit; driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence; driving without third party insurance; driving without due care and attention.
His case was adjourned to August 12. Chafik did not indicate a plea.
