WILTSHIRE Council has advertised details of town and parish council vacancies with local elections due to take place in October.
There are six vacancies up for grabs, on town and parish councils in Broad Hinton and Winterbourne Bassett, Ludgershall, West Ashton, Easterton, Steeple Langford and Marlborough.
On Broad Hinton and Winterbourne JPC, a vacancy has risen following the resignation of Adrian Smith.
On Ludgershall Town Council, a vacancy has arisen after the resignation of John McConnell.
On West Ashton Parish Council, a vacancy has arisen following the resignation of Tim Le Mare.
On Easterton Parish Council, a vacancy has arisen due to the resignation of Sarah Bates.
In all these cases, a local election will be held on October 4 if ten electors request one. Otherwise, the vacancies will be filled by co-opting.
In Steeple Langford, a parish council vacancy has arisen following the resignation of Natasha Richardson.
At Ludgershall, the town council has a vacancy following the resignation of David Downie.
Local elections will be held on October 11 in both locations if ten people request one. Otherwise, the existing council members will be able to co-opt someone to serve the local community.
In Marlborough, a vacancy has arisen in Marlborough West ward.
A local election will be held on October 18 if ten electors request one, otherwise the vacancy will be filled by co-opting a new member from the town.
