Trowbridge: Thomas George Brown, Linda Mary Brown trading as Geo T Brown of Silver Street, Steeple Ashton, Trowbridge is applying for a licence to use the address as an operating centre for 12 goods vehicles and 12 trailers and to use Lafarge Cement Works, Westbury as an operating centre for two goods vehicles and 10 trailers.
Calne: H.R Williamson Transport Limited of 5 Roundway Rise, Calne is applying for a licence to use Mill Farm, Blacklands, Calne as an operating centre for two goods vehicles and two trailers.
Devizes: McCarthy & Stone has applied to Wiltshire Council for a premises licence for Shackleton Place (a retirement building) on Bath Road. The application seeks permission for the sale of alcohol for consumption by residents and guests between 11am and 11pm Monday to Sunday and 11am to 1am on New Year’s Eve.
Biddestone: Wiltshire Council has given notice that as of August 1, Footpath 28 from its junction with CI 79 to its junction with Footpath 22, Colerne; Footpath 22, Colerne; from its junction with Footpath 28, Biddestone to its junction with Footpath 21 will be temporarily closed to the public. This is to allow the council to carry out bridge repairs in the area. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on August 1 and the closure will be required for six months. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
Melksham: Ben Tupman trading as Westbury Packaging Ltd of 31 Lancaster Road, Bowerhill Industrial Estate, Melksham is applying to change an existing licence to keep an extra goods vehicles and two trailers at the operating centre at 31 Lancaster Road. The company also seeks to change existing conditions at the operating centre from six vehicles and one trailer To seven Vehicles and three trailers.
Winterbourne Stoke: A 40mph speed restriction will be imposed on the A360 in August, it has been announced. Parts of the A360, Winterbourne Stoke from its junction with the A303 to where it meets the B3086.
The speed change will enable Osbourne to carry out construction of a work compound with access. The new speed limit will come into place on August 2 and will continue until November 11, 2021.
Downton: Traffic will stop on Wick Land from its junction with Mesh Pond for 400m heading west. This closure will allow BT to carry out access to overhead cables in the area.
No alternative route has been given. The closure will come into force on August 3, and will be active between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm.
Bradford on Avon: Wiltshire Council has given notice that Footpath 24 (South Wraxall) from its junction with Footpath 8A for 600 meters heading north will be closed. This is to enable construction of four new holes for a golf course. An alternative route will be provided around the field edges to the east and the closure will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.
This order was originally due to come to a close on June 28, however, it has now been extended until December 28 or until the work is completed – whichever comes first.
