Many people will already have plans for Sunday when England go head to head with Italy.

But the region is abound with events throughout the weekend as music, film screenings and festivals all continue to return as restrictions ease.

Here are just ten events taking place across Wiltshire this weekend.

CORSHAM: All day film marathon

Running in tandem with the Corsham Pound Arts Centre's Aardman Model Making Workshops, they will be screening a selection of classic Aardman films from the world of Wallace & Gromit and Shaun the Sheep, played on repeat throughout the day.

TROWBRIDGE: Park Life fundraiser

All day entertainment will be underway at the Bandstand in Trowbridge Park.

Music starts at 11.15am and the event will run until 4.30pm, and double as a fundraiser for Alzheimer's Support.

SEEND: Manor open gardens

Villagers in Seend will this Seend will be open to public weekend throw open their gardens to the public. Those taking part in the fundraising event include Amanda and Stephen Clark’s with their 12-acre ornate gardens at Seend Manor.

The annual event takes place on Saturday and Sunday, July 10 and 11, having been delayed from the usual spot of the second weekend in June

CALNE: Classic car showcase

The Atwell-Wilson Motor Museum is holding a Road Run on Saturday July 10 and their 18th Annual Classic Vehicle Show on Sunday July 11. 

Gates open at 3pm on Saturday for a 4pm start.

All entries must be pre-booked.

This year the Road Run will end back at the Motor Museum where food and hot or soft drinks will be available. 

BRADFORD ON AVON: Young musicians

The Wiltshire Young Musicians will enjoy their first chance to perform live since Christmas 2019.

Groups performing in the concert, on Sunday at 12pm at the Wiltshire Music Centre, are:

  • Bradford on Avon Junior Strings
  • Trowbridge Junior Strings
  • Chippenham Junior Strings
  • Devizes Junior Strings
  • West Wiltshire Young Singers

SEEND: A retelling of Shakespeare

The Winter’s Tale will take place for the final time on July 10 at Cleeve House, in Seend with a stunning view over Salisbury Plain.  

The usual facilities of Cleeve House – bars, refreshments, toilets and parking – will all be available.

This production places the play in the 18th century with fabulous handmade costumes, original music, professional lighting and sound, and even a professional opera singer in the cast to set the scene.

WESTBURY: Virtual arts session

A virtual class held by the Westbury Arts Centre is free to take part in.

They will be showing children how to use swirly paint marks to create grass and sky for a monoprint. They will also be making a colalge bird using paper torn from magazines.

DEVIZES AND SWINDON: In Devizes, the town's very first LGBTQ+ support group will be holding a community meet up with all welcome to attend. The group will meet at 2pm.

Later in the evening, in Swindon a fundraising event will be held at 7:30pm at the Waiting Room.

Held by Swindon and Wiltshire Pride, there will be a variety of entertainment as well 
as the chance to win a £200 booze raffle; tickets will be on sale before the event, they will be available to pay at The Waiting Room and on the night.

TROWBRIDGE: Court Room Cabaret

An evening of cabaret will take place at Trowbridge Town Hall on Saturday, kicking off at 7.30pm.

Hosted and curated by the notoriously hilarious Emily Souper, the audience will be entertained with stand-up, performance art, spoken word, drag and live music. We'll even throw in a few surprises along the way.
The art centre's new bar will be open each night with beer, wine and soft drinks.
