The Last Baguette theatre company is promising "a fun and farcical" outdoor family theatre show to venues in Wiltshire this summer.
King Arthur is an anarchic re-telling of the Arthurian legend with live music, physical comedy and lo-fi acrobatics. Audiences are promised an array of knights, wizards, and magic throughout the show.
It tells the story of a boy who pulled a stone from a stone and went on to become a King, in a tale as old as time.
People have been encouraged to bring a blanket and some cushions and enjoy some "high quality silliness." King Arthur is suitable for everyone ages five and up.
The Last Baguette make entertaining, accessible and eccentric work for family audiences, and are company-in-residence at Pound Arts, Corsham.
"It is always a huge pleasure to be able to tour in the area" said Sidney Robb, producer of the show.
"It’s great to get theatre out of theatre buildings into the open air, and finding ways to bring people and communities together safely will be especially important this year.’
The company love working with local organisations and venues to bring shows into smaller towns and villages, and are able to tour to village halls with support of Rural Arts Wiltshire & South Gloucestershire, run by Pound Arts.
Last Baguette will also be working with the Malmesbury Carnival to offer a free play-in-a-week theatre workshop for ages 11 to 18 from August 16- 20. The week will be a dynamic and fun way to explore theatre in a friendly and relaxed environment. Bring your creativity and ideas!
Audience and participants will be asked to comply with the current Covid guidelines.
