A Wiltshire road sweeper is one of the first to be fitted with a system to water hanging baskets.
In addition to keeping the streets of Warminster spick-and-span Basil Brushes has been adapted to help maintain the town's floral displays.
The sweeper will enable Warminster Town Council's outdoor spaces team to keep the hanging baskets fresh throughout the summer.
Cllr Sue Fraser, chairman of Warminster's parks and recreation committee said: “Basil is a very useful asset. It’s great the sweeper can be used in this versatile way.”
Stuart Legg, Warminster's parks and estates manager said: “We are very proud to be taking this in-house to enhance our wonderful town.”
Cllr Fraser added: “I’m delighted that the local schools and the Beavers were able to return this year to plant the flower beds in the park.
"They will look beautiful and create a lovely warm welcome for our visitors.”
