A Lacock jeweller has taken on intricate challenges from the BBC series All that Glitters.
John Watling Bespoke Jewellery, which recently opened its independent studio in the village, creates one off pieces of jewellery for both his loyal client base and new customers.
As a personal challenge, John has tasked himself with completing weekly challenges based on the new BBC TV series All that Glitters, presented by comedian Katherine Ryan and with judges Solange Azagury-Partridge and Shaun Leane.
The show has brought together eight talented jewellers, and the final takes place this week (May 18).
Watching from home, John took on, and completed, the same challenges as the show's contestants.
So far he has created:
- Week 1 - Three different silver bangles on a theme
- Week 2 - A silver link chain necklace
- Week 3 - A standout cocktail ring
- Week 4 - Gold hoop earrings with a difference
- Week 5 - A silver cuff bracelet with gemstones
All of these original pieces were created in the allotted time frames exactly as the contestants had to do.
His bespoke pieces are now for sale in the studio with a percentage from the sale of each original piece going to local charity Wiltshire Air Ambulance (WAA).
John, a keen cyclist, chose the charity as he appreciates just how vital the services of WAA are.
All of his creations will available to view or purchase from his studio at The Tanyard, Church Street in Lacock.
