As very low deposit mortgages are now a reality for people looking to buy a property, many are wondering how far their money can stretch.
Chancellor Rishi Sunak’s latest Budget includes a Government guarantee for 95 per cent mortgages which he claims will turn ‘generation rent’ into ‘generation buy’.
Under the scheme, current homeowners and new buyers will be able to take out a mortgage on a property of up to £600,000 with a deposit of just five per cent.
Starting in April, the Government will offer to take on some of the risk of low deposit loans, meaning lenders would have some protection from potential losses.
But, what properties can you buy for under £600,000 in Wiltshire?
Here are just some of the homes on Rightmove that can be snapped up under the new scheme:
William Morris Way, Swindon - £420,000

For buyers who are looking to work from home more, the detached property has a ground floor study and boasts a bay window, allowing light to pour into the room.
It is part of the Tadpole Garden Village development and residents can easily access the M4, Reading, Chippenham, Bristol and beyond.

The three-bedroom property has underfloor heating on the ground floor room and has had a garage conversion to create further space.
On the first floor, the master bedroom has an ensuite and views of the church spire.
Planning permission was also granted to create a fourth bedroom.
