AN 18-year-old Trowbridge youth has been charged in relation to drugs offences in the town.
Police said Ibrahim Chafik (also known as Ibby) of Cheviot Close, Trowbridge, was charged with four offences.
They were possession with intent to supply crack cocaine, possession of criminal property, possession of cannabis and criminal damage.
He appeared before Swindon Magistrates Court on Saturday where he was refused bail and remanded into custody.
He is due to return to Swindon Crown Court on Friday, March 12.
Chafik’s arrest and charges follows a stop and search carried out by uniformed police on Friday morning.
The action was part of an ongoing investigation into alleged drug dealing in the town under Operation Fortitude, a campaign to disrupt criminal activity.
