A Wiltshire Council cabinet member has been criticised online for sharing an article by well known climate change critic Ross McKitrick.
Liberal Democrat councillors have called out the cabinet member for highways, transport and waste, Bridget Wayman after she shared an article by Ross McKitrick, which questions the climate emergency, on Twitter.
In the tweet, Cllr Wayman said: "Is There A Climate Emergency? - Ross McKitrick - NOT a LOT OF PEOPLE KNOW THAT.”

Cllr Wayman, who represents the Nadder and East Knoyle ward was one of 31 Conservative councillors who voted against the climate emergency motion back in 2019.
Leader of Wiltshire’s Liberal Democrats, Ian Thorn said: "It is very disappointing that a senior member of Wiltshire Council, who have themselves passed a Lib Dem motion declaring a climate emergency, is questioning whether the climate emergency exists."
Cllr Brian Mathew, who proposed the Climate Emergency Motion added: "It is shocking that a Conservative cabinet member is questioning the severity of the climate emergency.
“I am interested to hear Danny Kruger MP's comments ahead of the Wiltshire Climate Summit in February."
Cllr Wayman has been contacted for comment.
