SANTA is on his way and visiting Bradford on Avon and the surrounding villages.

The Bradford on Avon Lions Club have already toured some parts of the town with their Santa Sleigh. On Saturday they were in Holt and on Monday they visited the village of Westwood.

Lions Club president Phil Courage said: "It is going pretty well so far. People have been coming out and throwing money in the bucket and donating online.

"We have made around £1,500 so far and that's good considering we are not knocking on any doors. It is not going to be as much as we usually collect but considering the circumstances this year we are quite pleased with that."

All visits are socially distanced and children are being discouraged from touching the sleigh.

All rounds start at 5.30pm except where indicated. The club has still to visit:

Tuesday, December 15: Churches, Elmfield, Magnon Road, Bear Close, Downs View, Winsley Road, Budbury Tynings.
