SOUTH Wiltshire MP, Dr Andrew Murrison, has completed the approvals procedure for doctors returning to the NHS to help in the fight against coronavirus.

Dr Murrison who, in 2003, was recalled to serve as a medical officer (MO) in Iraq has been completing NHS online learning to refresh his skills.

He said: “I hope our brilliant NHS will be able to continue to cope without the need to draft people like me, but I’m awaiting the call and stand ready if needed.”

Dr Murrison is also a volunteer for mobilisation as an MO in the reserves.
