THE site of a rundown toilet block, which was closed last year, could become part of a Devizes Town council project to open a splash pad.
The loos on the Green were closed after they were vandalised and used by drug addicts. A report to the full council said: “The facility is now permanently out of use. A review is needed in 2020 and may form part of the splash pad project.”
A working party was set up to investigate how a splash pad could be funded after the council received a petition signed by 200 people. The preferred location is the Small Green. Splash pads have opened in a number of other towns including Chippenham.
