Fire crews from Corsham and Chippenham joined those military firefighters yesterday when a blaze broke out.
An elderly man was treated with oxygen by the firefighters before an ambulance arrived.
A spokesman for Dorset and Wiltshire fire and rescue said they were called at 3.51pm yesterday. A spokesman said: "Fire crews from
Corsham, Chippenham and DFR Fire Rudloe Manor have extinguished a kitchen fire in Corsham and treated the elderly occupant with oxygen prior to the arrival of an ambulance."
