A village turned out in the showers for a traditional Boxing Day Boules Tournament.
Despite the wet weather, 32 teams of four turned out for the game set on Holt Village Green, each competing in heats for overall honours and the coveted winner's certificate along with the bottle of champagne.
Holt Boules boss Jon Palmer was delighted at the turn-out despite the wet and cloudy conditions.
He said: "We have had a staggering 128 teams with dozens more watching despite the rain, but then that's Holt - a village that supports the annual boules match.”
The event, which has been running for more than 29 years in the village, is always a popular Boxing Day past time.
Mr Palmer added: "It is well established and is now part of village life. People, often with their grown-up families returning for the Christmas period, get out for some fresh air and to meet friends.”
A team named the Crazy Boules won the event after a close finish with Holt on the Seine, which was a battle between the Baker family and the Slade family at the finals.
Winning foursome Baker family Rebecca James and their children Oscar and Emily were delighted with their win and a bottle of Champagne presented by Laura Hodges of the Toll Gate pub.
Mum Rebecca said: "It's third time lucky for us to win and great fun for the family.”
Meg Slade said: “Two of our team are from Holt and the other two live in Paris so we had to have a team name with a French link."
She added: "It's great for families with members returning for the festive time to get together and join in with the village sporting fun."
