FOUR men have been charged with poaching offences in South Wiltshire.

It follows reports of suspicious activity on private land in the Winterbourne Stoke area at approximately 11am on Christmas Eve.

Four men were arrested at the scene by officers.

The following were charged yesterday evening: Albert Smith, 53, from Totton near Southampton; James Kempster, 33, from Totton near Southampton; Freddy Hughes, 24, from Marchwood, Hampshire, and Albert Kempster, 25, from Weston-Super-Mare.

All four have been released on bail with the condition not to enter Wiltshire.
