FOOD and bedding donations are being sought for a Westbury charity that rescues and rehomes rabbits and guinea pigs.
Local housebuilder Linden Homes has set up a new collection point over Christmas and the New Year at its Spinnaker development in Westbury to help collect food and bedding donations for Cotton Tails Rescue.
The housebuilder has pledged its support this season to help animals in need and is appealing to local schools, businesses and residents to get involved.
The following items can be donated to the sales and marketing suite at Spinnaker until Friday, January 10, ahead of the team hand-delivering the gifts to the charity in the new year.
They are looking for good quality rabbit pellets, special feeding hay containing flowers and herbs, packs of dried herbs, healthy treats, old wicker/straw baskets to play with, newspapers and toys.
Sue Scholfield, sales and marketing director for Linden Homes, said: “We are collecting donations for a number of local animal charities close to our developments.
“Christmas is a magical time of year but we’re aware some animals do not have homes and we wanted to help the fantastic charities that do so much for them.
“There is often a drive to help charities during Christmas and so we wanted to offer some additional support afterwards as well. We also thought people may have some spare items to donate after Christmas and the time to do so.
“We would like to invite local schools, residents and businesses to work with us on this project.”
