A YOB has smashed windows at six different homes in Chitterne.

Police believe that stones or metal bolts were fired at the houses by someone using a catapault.

They have now appealed for witnesses to the series of window breakages.

The windows were damaged between Monday, December 9 and Friday, 20 December.

PCSO Candida Jackson said: "This is a concerning series of criminal damages as in two cases people were showered in glass which could have resulted in injuries - luckily no one was hurt.

"This mindless damage is also not only inconvenient to the householders but very expensive - an unnecessary cost, especially at this time of year.

"We would appeal to anyone who may know anything about these incidents to come forward. I am also looking for dash cam or CCTV footage from anyone in the vicinity between these dates."
