A COTSWOLD-BASED accountancy firm got into the Christmas spirit in the build up to the big day.
McGills Chartered Accountants, who have an office in Malmesbury, counted down to the 25th with a reverse advent calendar, a Christmas pudding sale, a festive jumper day and more.
In contrast to a normal advent calendar, the reverse advent calendar saw then give items to a charity for each of 12 days running up to Christmas.
The firm’s staff made gave toiletries and clothing to The Big Yellow Bus Project, which provides overnight accommodation to those in need in Cirencester.
Simon Nuttall, a partner at McGills, said: “We are proud to be part of the local communities in Cirencester and Malmesbury and it is very important to us that we make a contribution.
“Our various initiatives will make a significant difference to a wide range of people this Christmas and I am grateful to our whole team for their efforts.”
The firm also sold Christmas puddings to raise cash for Evie’s Gift charity.
