OFFICERS from CID have made arrests following an armed robbery which occurred at a petrol station in Devizes this morning (December 21).
Two men, aged 18 and 25, and both from Devizes, have been arrested on suspicion of robbery.
At approximately 2.30am two men entered the Esso/Morrisons service station in London Road.
One of the men forced an employee behind the counter to where the tills are located, while the other man removed a neck of a broken glass bottle from his pocket and used it to threaten the shop worker.
They forced the shop worker to open the tills and they made off with approximately £230 cash, leaving the scene on foot in the direction of Hopton Industrial Estate.
They are currently in Melksham custody for further questioning.
